The Mindful Practitioner
March 16 - 18, 2011 ~  Baha'i Center , 8151 164th Ave NE. Redmond, WA

10am - 5pm Friday and Saturday, 11:00 am - 5pm Sunday

A Workshop on the Healing Relationship

In homeopathy and related healing arts, success in practice depends as much on the internal qualities and “personhood” of the practitioner as it does on our knowledge and understanding of the subject.

The qualities that are helpful to develop include empathy and compassion; trust in ourselves and in the healing process; clarity of perception; non-judgment; attunement; ability to notice non-verbal signals; loving presence and acceptance.

In this experiential workshop we will utilize mindfulness for self study, to deepen our ability to attune to others and to sharpen our skills of observation.  We will further explore the subtle patterns that can hold us back from being fully present with our patients.

This workshop is suitable for students and practitioners at all levels and will assist you in developing and refining your internal practitioner skills, enabling your healing work to deepen without detriment to your own well-being.

Sunyata is a former Homeopath, Hakomi Practitioner and lover of the Tao. She brings a wealth of experience gained through her 10 years of Homeopathic practice and teaching along with extensive training in the refined Hakomi method with the founder Ron Kurtz and the Hakomi Education Network.

"Any homeopath wishing to deepen their awareness and enhance their consultation skills would be well advised to study the Hakomi method. The tools of Hakomi are, like those of homeopathy, gentle yet powerfully tranformative, and they bring a whole new range of healing possibilities to the consultation process.

Sunyata has followed her natural inclination towards healing and practical spirituality which she has successfully combined with her homeopathic background, creative flair and wonderful sense of humor. I would heartily recommend her work to anyone seeking to refine their healing capabilities and develop their own authentic way of practicing."

Ian Watson, former homeopath and co-founder of The Lakeland College
